Join your arms with the palms facing towards each other. Try bending towards the right keeping your hands in the same position. You should attempt to keep your arms parallel to the floor for 15-20 seconds. Gradually come back to the original position. Try bending towards the left side and follow the same procedure. Stay in the position for 15-20 seconds before returning to the same position. Repeat this entire session for 5-6 times.

Start jogging at your toes at the same spot for 5-10 minutes. The pace should be slow. The height of your knee should rise up to your waist. Repeat this session for 2-3 times till the total time is equal to 30 minutes. This workout puts pressure on the abdominal muscles and the back of the thighs. It improves blood circulation and tones the entire torso.

Patients should make sure that they get proper sleep up-to 8 hours in a day.

Epidural steroid injections are performed by physicians to soothe down sciatica pain. They prove to be helpful only in acute cases of sciatica. However, they carry the risk of side-effects and provide only short-term relief.
