Since its founding in 1888 Parker Pens have been the choice for all, be it for writing assignments or signing important documents. The company of Parker Pens was born when George Stafford Parker tried to repair some fountain pens that were leaking. Finally he ended up getting a patent to create his own version of fountain pens. As a result Parker Pens company was born in 1888. He got his patent for his first fountain pen in 1889. The company got its first break in 1894 with the invention of the lucky curve ink feed system. This technology drained the ink back to the reservoir when the pen was not in use. It was this development that established the supremacy of Parker Pens in the fountain pens industry.

Following the lucky curve, Parker introduced the Gold Filigree Lucky Curve pens. Later in 1921 it came up with many versions of which the Duofold fountain pens became the company’s most successful launch till then. Duofolf came in jazzy red colour that gave it the nickname “Big red”. Duofold family later came in different forms and colours, increasing the popularity of Parker pens.

Parker’s next breakthrough happened in 1956 when it came up with the first self-filling fountain pens, Parker 61. These pens were designed to self-fill ink from the bottle and could store ink for 6 hours of continuous writing. In 1998 Parker Pens completed a century of excellence and still reigns supreme in the fountain pens market. A Parker Pen today stands for prestige, tradition, steadfastness and strength.
