Pat Flynn And Mark Mason: Pioneers Of Ethical Internet Marketing
I am someone who traditionally steers clear of the hard sell. I associate it, rightly or wrongly, with dishonesty. So when I receive emails promising me the earth for very little effort or a phone call informing I’ve been picked out of thousands of names to receive this or that discount I’m suspicious. I automatically delete those emails and politely decline to continue the phone calls. That is why I’ve been reluctant to consider internet marketing as a viable business model because I have associated it with those ubiquitous emails. So why blog now? Why am I trying to get tons of traffic in the hope of securing an income to release me from the trammels of my present working life? One of the men who has changed my mind about all this is Pat Flynn from the SmartPassiveincome.com. I can’t tell you exactly how I came across Pat. I think I was searching for a podcast to listen to while I was doing the washing up and happened upon his podcast on iTunes. It was his genuine and infectious enthusiasm and his belief that there could been an ethical side to internet marketing which really caught my attention. Yes, I know what you’re all saying. That Pat must be a very clever marketeer to have hooked me line and sinker. Well, that’s right he is a great internet marketer, but a more genuine man you could not hope to meet. His progressive rise to the top is the result of his philosophy of offering free advice and resources which can really add value to your blog or site. Essentially it is his willingness to share his knowledge which has really impressed me. Another fellow blogger that has really inspired me is Mark Mason from Masonworld.com. A guy who holds down a 60 hour a week job and runs a thriving internet business into the bargain. ‘Building Internet Businesses One Night at a Time’ is his site’s subheading . Man, that guy must have some serious energy! He is another blogger who inspires as he educates. His army of subscribers wait on his every word because they know that, elsewhere on the net, value like that comes at a hefty price. I’m not saying that Pat and Mark are the only two internet marketers who follow a more ethical approach to business. There are obviously many many more, but these two have really inspired to keep on with what I’m doing so that in the future I can knock on my boss’s door and hand over my resignation note Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com I wonder whether it's possible for such ethical men to maintain their principals in an ever expanding medium. As competition becomes more cut throat will the need for bigger and more ambitious claims of success render the ethical marketer dead in the water? I hope not.
