The pay TV package is getting more comprehensive in terms of the services offered. The delivery of the digital signal for which you pay, is available from two main options; Satellite or Cable. The only problem in considering cable as your preferred method is whether or not the cables have already been laid in your area, or are due to be laid in the immediate future. Satellite is the only other option, with a correct location of the satellite dish, most of the populated areas are covered.
Your pay TV package can now be configured pretty much according to your own preferences. First of all you have the basic package selection whereby you can specify the type of programming you want to watch (Sports, News, Movies etc).
But in addition to the basic programming, there are other options available. For example you can opt to make all your telephone calls via your package, and even have internet accessibility.
Pay per Channel
There is another option available for those who want to minimize their TV costs, and that is: pay per channel. If you elect to go with this type of pay TV package, it allows you to just specify precisely the channels that you are interested in watching. Most of the other traditional pay TV packages give you (well not give, perhaps provide at a cost, would be a better way of putting it) a fixed package that is sure to contain a load of channels you will never, ever watch, so you are paying for nothing. Pay per channel is fixed to your choice, so you only pay for what you get.
