Penetration Testing Scanning Phase
Time Is of the Essence Although more businesses and organizations are becoming aware of the value of penetration testing, they still want to see the time/value trade-off. As a result, penetration testing often becomes less an “attacker-proof” test and more a test of the client’s existing security controls and configurations. If you have spent any time researching network attacks, you probably know that most decent attackers will spend as much time as they can spare gathering information on their target before they attack. However, as a penetration tester, your time will likely be billed on an hourly basis, so you need to be able to effectively use the time you have. Make sure your time counts toward providing the best service you can for your client. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com original source from: www.securityowned.com/ |
