Penmanship Meets Body Worn Cameras

Just about everybody carries around a pen these days, right? If you’re a guy, you probably have one in your shirt or jacket pocket. If you’re a gal, you inevitably keep one in your purse. A ballpoint pen that happened to be sitting on a desk, table, bookcase or where ever, certainly wouldn’t cause anyone to even bat an eye, or give it a second thought.

So who would suspect that that handy, commonplace pen is actually one of a variety of body worn cameras? But this camera doesn’t take still pictures; it actually transmits continuous video and can operate in minimal illumination, sending a high resolution video picture record to a security monitor, VCR or TV that is up to 60m away in full living color.

A simple click of the top of the pen and you are in business. No one would suspect that innocent looking pen riding in your shirt pocket or sitting in your desktop organizer, of having a pinhole camera in it, especially since you don’t even have to touch it once you’ve clicked it on. And the great part is that if someone were to pick it up and use it, it actually writes just like a normal pen.

Another version of these unique body worn cameras offers continuous video in high resolution black and white. They come in black or gold and are, again, actual working pens. The wireless versions come with external transmitters that can easily be hidden in a pocket or handbag, and the battery packs are also external.
