Loans for people with bad credit are a bit more tricky than for people with good credit scores, but that does not mean you will not be able to get a loan. It is possible that you may be refused credit a few times but don't let that discourage you, there will be companies that will work with you.
If you are not already aware you should take note that for a bad credit loan you may end up paying higher interest rates and possibly higher charges than normal, that unfortunately is the price you pay for having a bad credit score.
If you have some collateral against which you can secure the loan, this is actually known as a secured loan, you will probably be able to get a bad credit loan at a more reasonable rate than if you need to try and get an unsecured loan (a loan without any collateral).
The reason for this is that the credit companies see unsecured loans to people with a bad credit history as high risk and consequently apply higher charges or, as you may have experienced, the loan request is refused.
So you can see that a secured loan where the credit company can recover their costs through repossession, usually of your home or a car, is seen as less of a risk.
For emergency cash advances, sometimes known as payday loans, there is normally no credit check and you just have to have a checking account and provide proof of income from an employer. These are the most expensive of the unsecured loans however and have very short repayment periods with potentially very high interest rates. So if you are thinking of taking out this type of loan make sure that you search for a good rate and that you know what the small print says, you need to know at the very least what happens if you default on repayments.
