Perfume Testers, What Are They?

Quite a few people don't quite understand what perfume testers really are. Very often we are lead to believe that they are a lesser quality of the fragrance, that they contain a smaller amount of the scent, or that they are items already partially used up in a shop. All of this is completely wrong.

The truth is: they are absolutely the same fragrance you would buy in a shop - at a much smaller price. They do neither differ in quality nor in amount from a store-bought item. They differ, however, in how they are a packaged.

Very often they come in a very simply, mostly white, cardboard box. Also it is quite common that they do not have a fancy cap, like an item bought in a store would have. Manufacturers produce these items to give people (vendors being the main target) the chance to give a fragrance a try at a lower price. Fancy packaging costs a lot of money: by getting rid of boxes with golden letters, satin in-lay, and elaborate and costly caps, perfume testers can be produced at a much lower price.

Consequently, they are a perfect way to save a lot of money. If you know what fragrance you like and do not care about packaging you should definitely try to find out if there is a vendor selling perfume testers of your fragrance.
