Persistence In Any Business Is Key
He was learning how to swing. You know, legs ahead, legs back, get some momentum occurring, and he just could not do it. His twin Justin was swinging without a problem, his older sister Ashlee had it down pact, but Luke - Luke just could not get the rhythmn. So mum had to push, Dad had to push; sister had to push so Luke could get his fair go on this swing - again despite the fact that his brother did it effortlessly. This went on for a number of weeks and at this time in his life, himself and his brother Justin were attending pre-school 2 days a week. Now Luke would come home to the family and divulge to us about his new friend Nicolas. "He plays with me at pre-school Mum" "He watches footy with his Dad on TV, you know Mum" "He drinks beer with his Dad you know - Mum!" (which we found very funny- kids are such storytellers) So anyway a few weeks passed, and one day we are out in the back yard and lo and behold here is Luke - swinging back, swinging forth and it was just a triumph all round. "Well done Luke - how did you work that out!" we asked him. "Nicolas showed me" was his reply I asked him, "Don't you mean Mum, Dad, Ash, you know, we showed you how" "No, Nicolas taught me" So that was it. This 4 year old, beer drinking, pre-school buddy of our sons - taught him. Luke got it. From someone he related to, who spoke his words and understood him. Needless to say, I just so got the importance of showing up at whatever trainings my business put before me. Just for the reason that I may think the same information is being disclosed proves it can be the 1st or 21st time I have listened to it, the penny can drop or I'll have a lightbulb moment.
