Phaser 8200 Ink: A Friend To The Environment In Your Office
There are many color laser printers available at low prices nowadays. Some are older versions selling for less than they did originally, while others are small and only one year old. Now each small firm can have a high-volume printer other than an inkjet, because each seller has a stock of color laser printers at a price good enough for a single user workplace, not to mention one with multiple employees.
Phaser 8200 solid ink doesn't utilize laser technology. It utilizes ink to make stunning color copies very rapidly. It is also compatible with PostScript, and you can adjust color settings in a way that's not possible with a low level laser printer. Of course, you have to give up something. It won't run tons of black & white copies like a laser printer, and it's no competition for an inkjet when it comes to the quality of its images, but it's still pretty terrific.
The Phaser 8200 is a solid ink printer (also known as wax-jet or phase-change printer). Instead of using liquid or powdered inks, the Phaser 8200 utilizes small solid blocks of yellow, cyan, magenta, and black ink that are specially shaped to be held and used by the printer. Because the blocks are solid, the Phaser 8200 is easy to reload with no mess or fuss.
The Xerox Phaser 8200 is revolutionary. You no longer need complicated software or an over-used front panel LCD to tell you when the ink is low. By simply opening the front of the printer, you can see how much ink has been used directly. More importantly, you can add ink at any time without having to unload or reprogram. Simply drop a new block in the slot.
As opposed to the standard procedure of discarding or recycling cartridges and ink storage units, our machine results in considerably less waste. All that is needed for continued operation are three small pieces. These consist of a "maintenance kit", a "lubricating kit", and a tray to capture any waste material. Monitor these and replace as necessary, and you will have no problems.
Solid ink printers utilize heat and pressure to make an image on paper. The printer melts a small portion of the desired color(s) and sprays the ink onto a heated, rotating drum which transfers the image to paper. The Xerox Phaser 8200 printer has distinct environmental advantages over most low priced printers. Using only 1500 watts of power, the Phaser 8200 uses a fifth less electricity than liquid ink printers and the 600 X 600 dpi (1236 individual nozzles) print head transfers the image in a single pass (four is standard).
The ink dries off immediately on the page, and unlike inkjet there is no seeping and this won't blot on the paper, also it would not smear when swiped with a damp finger, however this can be removed if scratched with a fingernail. Hence the printout when dry would appear damp. The printout would practically look like having been painted on with rich, glossy shades and the negatives like banding that inkjets and to an extend laser printers have are eliminated here.
