This is desirable situation for the couple to be in, as it will allow for all the decisions and planning to be made in a very calm and thoughtful manner. It usually means the couple can get more of what they want for the wedding without having to sacrifice certain aspects just because of timing and availability. And to top it all off, a long engagement, like two years satisfies most couples more so than a shorter engagement because they can enjoy their time as a fiancé to one another.

But for those couples that need to marry right away for whatever reasons still do have choices. However, they may have to give up having a June wedding for an August or September wedding instead since many places are booked for the most popular times of the year to marry. Oftentimes that means availability is open for those months that people may not think of when it comes to getting married — for instance, January or February is not what brings to mind marriage. But, these months are special in their own ways and can really make for a magical affair. Of course, you must take certain factors like the weather into consideration.
