I wanted to talk to you about picking a good TV stand. It can be a little daunting to find one that meets your needs. There are so many designs on the market that it can be next to impossible to make a decision. When everything has positives and negatives you might not be able to make a choice that you can be fully happy with. I suppose that this is life and that is the way things work with a lot of different choices. I'm going to try and give you as much information as possible on designs, so you can make the best choice.
The first common design is what I'll call a minimalist design. Basically it is a shelving system and that is it. You set the television on top of the stand and you have two or three shelves under it. This is for stuff like your DVD player, digital cable box, etc. It's a nice look, but you really don't have much storage space. You can't fill up the shelves because it will look bad.
Another design is sort of the same as the first, except that it has doors on the front of it. The television still sits on top, but your shelving is covered by doors, so you can pretty much store anything you want. You can fill it with DVDs and magazines. You don't have to worry about people seeing the clutter.
Lastly, you can get a full bureau type stand. This is the kind that the television will sit in. Typically there will be doors on the front of it, so you can hide the TV completely. This is a very popular type of stand in hotels. This is going to have a lot of storage space, but it's also going to be pretty pricey.
