Some pickup truck covers cost enough to be quite a purchase. That would describe both many of the tilting covers as well as metal retractable covers as well. On the other hand, many soft covers work quite well to protect cargo and yet cost very little. These low price options offer value and may be worth close consideration. Here are tips for picking a cover that will work well and leave you with a positive experience.

If you do decide to pick a soft tonneau cover, the entry fee is roughly one-fifth of what a retractable hard cover will set you back... In fact, the cheapest covers available cost so little and still offer much in the way of protection that it really can seem like a deal. Also easy to use compared to some soft covers that can be a struggle to close and seal. The tri-fold cover is a compromise but in many cases a very effective cover that offers solid value.

Selecting a single tonneau cover for your pickup is hard partly because there are just so many to pick from. Narrowing down the choices to just a few can be done quite quickly if price is an option. Let's face it, the most costly covers offer lots of features and benefits but at a steep entry fee. On the other hand, some of the least costly tonneaus can be had for just a little and will add value to a truck maybe beyond what you pay. It partly just depends on what you need and what you want and what is the price you choose to deal with.

Soft covers offer as their main advantage a lower cost. That does not at all mean that the lower price covers are not the right choice. Also soft covers are easy to install, adaptable to taller cargo and easy to use because of the full bed access they provide. On the other hand the hard pickup bed covers offer greater security and a quite different look and all at, in some cases, not a whole lot more cost.
