Pit Bull is very popular among young generation. In spite of rumor and misconception around the aggressive nature of pit bulls it can be unanimously admitted that Pit Bulls are extremely fond of spending time with human beings. They can be obedient and polite if they are trained properly. Owing to the poor and miserable condition including wrong conception, these dogs can show impudence. One should provide obedience training to the American Pit Bull Terrier perfectly so that it can abide by one's commands. One should make repetition to make them understand the magnitude of the importance of the commands one usually uses to make them obedient.
However to make the matter much easier a person can use treats or some fantastic toys which will act as rewards when they perform well at the time of training session. On regular basis one should teach them lessons of potty training, crate training and lessons of patience and obedience. However there will be some intervals so that they don't feel dejected and monotonous. As a part of introductory training session one can try to direct dogs to sit down on couch or floor. This type of easy command can test their inclination and eagerness to follow the commands of masters. After completion of this training part in which dogs will learn to sit and stand on feet in the wake of the commands of masters, the next part training will be started in a gradual process so that they can find sufficient time to understand the meaning of the commands. The main purpose of masters or owners is to make a tacit understanding between dogs and themselves. This type of tacit understanding is very conducive to build the rapport between dogs and masters. However the socialization training program is very essential to get them accustomed to the homely situation. There are some persons who lodge grievances by claiming that these dogs are unable to mingle with human society. They are rowdy and impudent and stubborn.
Their cumbersome attitude is so odd that they can attack any kid or any gentleman in case they become violent. The fact is that the proper training and good association can change their attitude and nature in toto. Last but not the least apart from training program there is requirement of exercise for these Pit Bulls. If they are left without any work they can feel uncomfortable and bored. Therefore they should be given opportunity to do exercise to keep fit and energetic.
