In Michigan a court ruling has imposed high schools to adjust eight boys and girls sports seasons in order to comply with Title IX. Prior to this sports fell on different seasons and times of the year thereby reducing the exposure of these athletes to recruiters and negatively affecting their chances of athletic scholarships.
