Positive Motivation And Weight Loss
When you are losing weight, the one type of motivation that you don’t want to use is food. Food should never be used as a reward or a punishment, so you will have to find other things to motivate you in a positive way. Think about all the things that you want in life, the things that you enjoy, and the things that make you happy that don’t involve food. By incorporating these positive motivation techniques into your life, you will find it much easier to lose the weight. For instance, tell yourself that if you work out three times this week, you will reward yourself by going to the movies (no butter on that popcorn, of course!). If you lose ten pounds in a month, then you will buy a new outfit. If you manage to get down to your target size and keep that weight off for a year, then it is off to the Caribbean! These are all forms of positive motivation that have nothing at all to do with food, but they can be the carrot in front of the cart that keeps you going toward your goal. Whatever it is in life that you want to do, you can do it with the right type of motivation and a good deal of dedication as well.
