Potential Promotional Items

There are many great reasons to give away free promotional items as a business, and it will at once endear the recipient to your company as they will have received a free practical item (and if your logo and branding looks good then it will be stylish too). There are many different things that can be used as promotional items and each has different strengths and weaknesses – some being better gifts while others will be a lesser investment for the company (and so cheaper to give away as promotional gifts) while others will have a longer lifespan. Here we'll look at a few and at why they are effective.

Promotional Drinkware: There are a couple of items of promotional drinkware to choose from to promote your business with – such as mugs, sports flasks and glasses. Mugs tend to be the favourite item for promotional drinkware being items that you leave on a desk or on the side for long periods of time allowing people to get a long look. At the same time tea and coffee are things that almost everyone can appreciate and that are already associated with productivity and work – two things that you would likely want your company or brand to be associated with. A sports flask however can also portray your business in a positive light, and suggest health and fitness and clean living.

Promotional Pens: Promotional pens are particularly successful promotional items as they are so cheap to have printed. This means that they can easily be given away as gifts that won't largely increase your company's overheads. This then endears that individual to your company as they start to see your business as a generous one and one that can afford to give away promotional gifts. At the same time they are also a highly practical item which anyone can get a lot of use out of. As well as making the recipient happy this will also make the item more likely to be used and that means it will be more likely to be seen – when someone signs for something or makes a note they will be displaying your company logo or name inadvertently and this will be a great form of marketing. Meanwhile pens can go missing or be stolen and/or given as gifts. This means you promotional gift will travel, and that only means it will be seen by more people in total.

Promotional Clothing: Items of promotional clothing are another highly popular form of promotional gifts. This is because the owner actually brandishes your company logo by wearing it on their back or front. If you think about how a company normally pays someone to have their logo on their shirt or vehicle (it's called sponsoring), here you get that for free – and across hundreds of people too. This means they'll be seen walking around, in photographs, in videos, on Facebook and elsewhere with your promotional clothing. Again promotional clothing is also likely to get passed down – sold on or given to charity shops – which will further extend its lifespan and the number of people who will see it.
