Prepare A Handmade Gift On Mother’s Day

We all want to give unique gifts to our mother’s on mother’s day. A handmade gift carries such warmth with it that no other gift that you purchase can ever. So a handmade gift is always more touching than a gift that is bought. Mother’s day is an appropriate occasion on which you can make your mother a gift. How can you make a gift for your mother? You will come to know as you read on.

The steps

• Get hold of a container. You can do with something as simple as a glass jar. Thinking what else can you use? Use your imagination! You will come up with plenty of options that are interesting as well as easy to access. You will find mane great containers in your home itself. Or if you like something that you have come across at any shop, go pick it up! it is going to be the base on which you will create your gift.

• Decorate the container the way you want to. You can choose from a lot of options. You can use a ribbon or a bow, you can apply glue first and stick beads, you can use glass colors and make any design you want to, and you can make mosaic patterns on the container.

• Now you have to stuff things inside this beautifully decorated container. Clueless? You have the container filled with a lot of stuff. But what will be the most toughing thing to place inside the container? It’s definitely going to be memories! Each small chit of paper you put inside will have a memory etched on it. You can write it yourself or you can type it on the computer and print it out. You can also put some pictures along with the chits. Choose the pictures carefully. They have to be a mixture of old and new. Look around for pictures of your mom when she was small. Ask your grandparents to help you. You can put some pictures of her as a toddler. You can put pictures of her and her favorite pet. You can put some pictures of you and your mother when you were small. She will love it.

• You can also put some little things inside the container – some things that hold significance. May be a sea shell that she picked up from the beach for you. You can make her a necklace of these!

• If you have brothers and sisters ask them to help you out with it. You can also ask your dad for help. She is going to simply love this gift and cherish it for ever!

• Play some games with her on this day. Make sure that you spend the day together. You can play a board game with her.

• Play her favorite music.

• Dance with your mom to her favorite dance number.

• Go for a walk to the park.

Make sure that you do everything that she will love and cherish as a memory.
