I want to give some presentation skills for managers because these are very effective skills to motivate your employees as well as persuading your superiors. It has been proven that people with great speaking and presentation skills make more money and get promoted more often. It is imperative that everyone gets these skills.
As a manager you really have two audiences to please; employees and superiors. Obviously your superiors want you to do a good job, where you make more money for less work. A lot of managers miss out on that bond between the employees. You have to be able to get the best out of your employees, so that means your presentations and talks with them need to persuade them.
What you need to do is publicly reward good behavior and privately condemn bad behavior. If you're giving a presentation to the employees you want to make sure, in front of everyone, that you call out people and give them praise. "Sally, you're doing an excellent job with customers", "Tom, your sales are through the roof. Keep it up!" This sort of thing makes employees feel good as well as look good in front of their peers, so this is definitely one skill you need to get down.
The next point I want to emphasize is that in your speeches, have practical solutions. Too many managers think they know everything and they really don't. Someone that works 40hrs a week, for months knows more about their job than a manager that runs into him for 2 minutes every other day. Talk to them, so you can hear what they think are solutions. Take those solutions and present them.
This really build employee moral. Your employees will work harder and want to be part of the "team". This will make you look like a super manager. I hope these presentation skills for managers will really help you in your career.
