I caught the latest episode of this cool new reality television series, The US Presidential Election! You might have heard about it. Two guys, a mulatto guy and a white guy are trying to become President. Whoever gets the most votes wins. Just like American Idol.
Anyway, this latest episode, "The Second Presidential Debate," really sucked. It was pretty boring over all. The white dude, McCain, threw a few wimpy punches trying to get the mulatto mad enough to pull a knife and attack. The mulatto spent alot of time saying blah, blah, blah, Iraq, blah, blah, blah, economy. He got kind of mad once, but just said blah, blah, you get the idea.
The crowd was terrible. Supposedly they were under orders not to clap or show any emotion. Tom Brokaw must have had their families held hostage or something because they did an amazing job of staying emotionless. They could have been cardboard cut outs except some got to ask questions. Honestly, if we are going to have a live audience then they should be allowed to cheer. I think the producers got that one wrong. I hope next episode some guys bring rotten vegetables to throw. That would definitely boost the ratings.
Back to the debate- there was no clear winner. Frankly I was hoping for a knock out tonight. That would have been a cooler ending to the show but, no knock out tonight. Instead they are going to drag this show to the bitter end. I think tonight would have been a better ending but I guess the show has good enough ratings or something.
Not scoring a knockout hurts McCain far more right now in the standings. Odds makers are shifting to long bets on old John McCain at this point. One version of electoral math argues that Obama (that's the mulatto guy) only needs two more electoral college votes to win the White House grand prize. But, you just can't trust that electoral math. Hell, I'm not even sure you can trust the electoral math on Election Day. Personally, I think all reality shows are rigged!
So, make sure to watch the next episode of this new reality series. I sure hope the next episode is better than this last one.
