Priapism & Penile Enlargements
Priapism is a prolonged and painful erection that can last hours and even up to a few days. Ironically this word comes from the Greek god of fertility Priapus, but the condition itself is not as positive. The normal physiological process of the erection back to a flaccid state involves blood draining out of the penis. Priapism occurs when blood flow cannot leave the penis, causing the already poor blood circulation in the penis to become dormant and deprived of oxygen. Without the necessary oxygen the red blood cells do not move, further increasing the drainage issue. What's the relationship between penile enlargements and priapism? Particular penis elongation devices and especially clamps can reduce or stop the flow of blood, causing priapism. Other causes include penile drug injections (for treatment of erectile dysfunction) especially when the product is abused. A few conditions such as leukemia and sickle-cell anemia can also cause priapism. As a community focused on penis elongation and penile enlargements as a whole, this condition raises concern. Avoid using products for prolonged periods of time, especially those that focus directly or indirectly on restricting blood flow.
