Princess Kate Gears Up For The Biggest Day In Her Life

The United Kingdom in particular and the whole world in general are bracing for the wedding of the decade. Those who have received invitations are looking forward to the gala wedding and those who haven't are trying their best to manage (or shall we say connive) to get passes to the Princess Kate and Prince William show. On her part, Princess Kate has been more than warm in offering invites and her favorite bakery man has got a personal, self-delivered invitation as well.

Princess Kate and Prince William have carefully and steadfastly worked through the crisis of 2007 and showed the world that their love was not about some short-span summer infatuation. After all, it has well and truly passed the test of time. While on a vacation in Kenya, the prince asked for the hand of Miss Middleton in marriage and proposed with the flamboyant Princess Diana's engagement ring.

The couple has been quite willing and open in satiating crowd curiosity. They have fielded volleys of questions from every press house pertaining to how they met and how did he propose to her and pretty much everything else involved. Except for the real paparazzi driven questions, they were more than candid towards the press and showed a keen interest in bonding with the tabloids.

The British Royalty has always been traditional and partly conservative in announcing their relationships and yet the modern age ensured that news spread through Twitter. In a time when the public sector spending cuts has hit the economy of Britain hard, this kind of news may offer resounding signals of economic health. Coming precisely three decades after the wedding of Princess Diana to Prince Charles in 1981, this one promises everything that the puritan rulebook does not offer.

Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh are both apparently delighted with the marriage and have made it clear to the public. However, the inner feelings of their hearts can't be put out for public speculation and what they may actually think about the nuptials may not be out in the open ever. The prince simply smiled to the media but kept to himself the nostalgia associated with the engagement ring when he talked about it.

He said that the ring was very special to him and giving it to Kate, his fiancée and great love, was one way of ensuring that Princess Diana did not miss the engagement ceremony. The wedding date is still not decided and there is plenty of speculation about it in the media and law houses; the latter, of course, is seeking Kate for the pre-nuptial agreement.
