Make sure you are comfortable with the size, shape and most importantly with the sounds they produce. You do not have to buy the guitar of the first visit to the store. If you find something you like, put it on your list and go back to store another day. Play it again just to make sure you are still happy with it. If your opinion has changed then you should look at other instruments, otherwise, if you decided to buy it, you should see if you can get a discount or if the price includes accessories.

Once you have the guitar, all you have to do to is practice. With time you will get better, your fingers will hurt less and your fingers and hands will move with ease. Be sure to start with something that you like and that is not hard to play. This will build confidence and it will make you crave for more.
