Problems With Pure Water

One of the supposed problems with pure water is the minerals that are good for you are missing. These minerals occur at trace amounts naturally in the water table, so there are those who insist you need them to be healthy. The benefits of these minerals can be gotten from foods you eat, so removing them really does no harm. The main proponents of the health benefits of these minerals are mineral water bottlers and salespeople. The harmful elements that are removed along with the minerals are far worse for your health than these trace minerals are good for it. The advantages outweigh the mineral loss by a large margin. Drinking mineral water has never been proven to be better for you than filtered water, only better than drinking other things such as sodas and other sugared drinks.

Pure water should have no taste or smell at all. It is the impurities and water treatment chemicals that impart odor and taste in water, not the water itself. Pure. clean drinking water should not be a luxury, since water is essential for life. We are composed mostly of water, and need it to maintain health and well being. Without water, a person will day within three or four days, less in extreme heat. With all the contaminates and parasites turning up in water treatment facilities and private wells, one of the biggest problems with pure water is not having enough. The lack of clean drinking water can cause entire populations to be wiped out, through starvation and dehydration.
