Promotional Products Have Great Synergy With Auto Racing

More than any other televised sport, marketing and sponsorship is the king of stock car racing like NASCAR. Auto racing is really a marketing dream as just about every surface seems to be for sale! The marketing and promotion doesn’t end when the race is over, either. There are promotional items with an auto racing theme as varied and wide ranging as the variety of marketing and sponsorship opportunities at the race track. Shift your promotions into top gear and take advantage of the fact that NASCAR races are happening just about all year long.

Football is the most watched televised sport in the United States, and NASCAR comes in at a strong second place. This means a huge built-in audience. Billions of dollars are changing hands every year in NASCAR and the businesses built around it that use licensed products. Clearly, you won’t be the only company out there trying to capitalize on its popularity. Try to avoid taking the easy route, like a little toy stock car your can slap a company logo on or maybe even a car shaped keychain; something that has probably been done to death by now. Instead of just a little metal toy car for the kids, make it a little more creative by going the remote-control car direction. This would be more likely to see some use by your customers and definitely captures the fun factor!

Since sports are typically an outdoor occasion, kits like first aid kits are a popular promotional item. Believe it or not, there’s an auto-racing style kit! You have all the usual summer sport necessities like bandage strips and sunscreen, but these come with earplugs. If you’ve never been to a stock car race you might not expect to need them, but even a little dirt track in the middle of rural Illinois can be almost deafeningly loud. You could even use the same kit for concerts if you end up a little too painfully close to the speakers.

Headwear is a good way to go, there’s plenty of room for customizing and they can come with some pretty sporty designs like flames or checked flags. Speaking of flags, this sport uses them with every race, so you can go ahead and give the race fans among your customers their own flags to wave around and be a part of the fun. The most unique auto racing promotional item would probably be a replica helmet. Those get a little pricey at about one hundred dollars each, so you’ll really need an appropriate tie-in to lay down that amount of money unless you’re intending to use it as a corporate gift.

Seventy five million fans are out there dropping millions of dollars on products from NASCAR every year. This doesn’t even factor in all of the smaller, less publicized local stock car operations that have their own audiences and own marketing communities. It’s hard to keep track of all the marketing angles this sport has to it, but there’s most certainly a way for your business to capitalize; from something as limited as a local race event to the nationwide racing organizations like NASCAR. Put the pedal to the medal and you’ll lead the pack!
