Promotional Umbrellas - Giving Them What They Want

Giving away promotional umbrellas can be a rewarding experience for businesses. Not only are businesses advertised, but people receive something substantial and useful as well.

If you have a budget for this type of promo gift, then the following guidelines would be useful in choosing these styles.

The guidelines

1. If you are giving away to groups of professionals, then choose a sleek and formal design. Pick darker colours instead of light coloured ones.

2. Take note that size also matters. Generally, larger designs are great giveaways to a mass public audience.

However, if you know that office workers would be using them, then choose a smaller design. Again, always work from the vantage point of the people who would be using your gift.

You want the people to use them as often as possible. You want people to carry them wherever they go. You have to establish a connection first with the recipients before this happens.

3. Your target audience also would tell you what to print on the canopy. Dealing with 13 year olds is different than dealing with 50-year-old men.

Age discrepancies can mean a lot when we are dealing with messages and intended audiences.

4. Stick to durability instead of expensiveness. People do not really care how expensive a free gift is. If it is durable then they use it.

Expensive designs are generally heavier and bulkier so you might want to reconsider if you really want these. The extra cost of sending them out to your customers would have to be taken into consideration.

5. Stick to clean lines. Everyone likes clean and uniform lines.

So if you are not aware of the kind of class composition you will be encountering, stick to something generic.

Generic is fine, as long as the gifts are in good condition. Generic colors and patterns still do the job.

6. If you want to hit several consumer bases at once, then print on different product types.

Segregate your giveaways based on who is receiving what. This way, you can be sure that executives get the more expensive designs and the less expensive product goes to the general public.
