Designer purses and handbags are truly a fashion statement and most ladies who carry a purse would love to own several of them. The only problem is the price. They can be quite expensive.
One solution I've found for the expensive purse problem is checking eBay for cheap purses. I don't mean fall apart cheap. I am talking about purses that are priced well below retail but are still authentic.
The next problem for the fashionable lady who wants to own a genuine designer purse or handbag is the issue of authenticity. There is a lot of concern from people when they see items listed on eBay. If you do a little bit of research and use common sense, you can find genuine designer bags at great discounts though.
When you are shopping on eBay, always be sure to check out the seller's feedback rating. The feedback number of each eBay member is next to their username. Whether they are buying or selling, there will be a number there. Clicking on that number will bring up some very important information about the seller.
A low number generally means that the seller does not have very much eBay experience. eBay members can get one feedback point for every transaction, whether they are buying or selling. A higher number of transactions means that the seller has been around for a while and probably knows what they are doing.
Next to this number you will see the person's positive transaction percentage. The higher the better for this number as well. I generally won't buy from anyone with less than about a 98%. This number tells you the percentage of people who have left positive feedback for the seller and is a good indication of what kind of service you might expect.
Next, look down the page a bit and you will find actual comments left by buyers about this person. You can also see the item that they purchased. When I'm thinking about buying a designer bag, I always read these comments carefully. Obviously if I see someone complaining about the quality of a purse, I cross the seller off of my list and move on.
You should always feel free to ask eBay sellers any question you may have about a designer purse or any other item they have up for sale. I have found that most sellers on eBay are good people just looking to get some things sold. Most will gladly provide extra photos and answer questions for you.
