Pussycat Dolls Present Their New Hit On Jimmy Kimmel, Gear Up For The
With Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious coming to a close a month ago, the spotlight now reverts back to the first and original Pussycat Dolls, who are all set to take the music world by storm with their all-new album. The PCD ladies unveiled their latest single called "When I Grow Up" on the Jimmy Kimmel show last week.
In line with the Pussycat Dolls' all-out effort to follow up on their eponymous smash breakthrough album of 2005, lead vocalist Nicole Scherzinger has reportedly shelved her floundering aspirations as a solo artist to help get her all-female troop into high gear.
Also in keeping with the group's determined plan to regain the glory they reaped three years ago, the ladies have also allegedly recruited some expert assistance. PR-Inside has reported that the Pussycat Dolls have acquired the services of Taio Cruz, who was responsible for the U.K. hit, "Come on Girl."
"I want to do something that will be a complete contrast to their usual style," Cruz told PR-Inside. "Nicole [Scherzinger] has put her solo career on hold to concentrate on PCD so it's a really important album. Since 'Come on Girl,' I've been receiving lots more calls about writing for people."
The PCD are off to a rip-roaring start on their promotional efforts with a hosting gig at Maxim Hot 100's TV special at 9 tonight on VH1. The show is meant as a television supplement to Maxim's Hot 100 issue, which went on sale May 20. The Dolls are also scheduled to perform at the MTV Movie Awards on June 1 and will likewise take the stage at Pure Vegas to help kick off the Memorial Day weekend. On Sunday, the 25th, they were the subject of E! True Hollywood Story and also went On Air with Ryan Seacrest.
