When it comes to getting your website onto more desktops, there are two general ways to help boost statistics- Pay-Per-Click advertising and article marketing. Both of these methods can be effective to some degree, and determining which is right for you can take a bit of careful study.

The problem for many site owners is that article marketing can take time to work. The reason for this, however, is truly an issue of quality.

Paying to have clicks lead to a website from places where people will not be interested in your products is a great way to build short term traffic, but it offers no consistency or even customers. Article marketing offers customers valuable, helpful information and then helps them understand that your site is a true resource for their needs.

The biggest asset that article marketing has over Pay-Per-Click advertising is longevity. While generating a large number of clicks very quickly can trick a few search engine ranking tools, the truth is that they determine very quickly when an advertising method is not valid. Unless the ranking company is being paid to list the company at the top of rankings, it is not likely to stay there long.

With article marketing, you are given a series of articles that are relevant. This not only offers more unique and interested visitors, it also creates a way for users to share the helpful information they find while also sharing the information about your company. It is not uncommon for well written articles to go viral, getting your name and business out into the public eye and ensuring that people understand what your company is all about.
