Like many men, I like to wear shoes that are both stylish and comfortable. There's no doubt that high quality footwear can really make a good impression, but I hate to wear uncomfortable shoes.
Finding shoes that are comfortable, as well as being fashionable, is not always easy. It's a task that always seems to be easier with trainers and casual shoes.
By their very nature, such shoes tend to be rather easier on the feet. The situation when it comes to footwear to be worn on more formal occasions is considerably different.
Office environments, for example, often tend to demand that we wear shoes that are of a particular type. Casual footwear simply won't do the job.
This is also replicated on other occasions and when attending formal events, such as weddings. Casual pumps or trainers would look out of place and are only likely to cause embarrassment.
Over the years, I've found that good quality leather footwear is the best answer. Leather seems to adapt better to the shape of the feet, meaning that it is less likely to rub.
Here in the UK, I generally buy my leather shoes from Samuel Windsor. Though their prices are a little more expensive than some retailers, I rely on the fact that I'm paying a higher price in order to receive a higher quality of footwear.
