Do also evaluate some landing pages from other successful affiliate marketer and see how they are selling or pre-selling the product.

In forum people ask questions and got answers from people in same situation as you, and have the common problems as you have.
Remember that the affiliate “gurus” also visit forums. Some of the answers you find in forums are given from highly successful affiliate marketer, and you better pay attention. I personal have got a lot of information for free at forums that other had paid a lot for in a book.
Take a search at a search engines with a term as “marketing forums” and you will find a lot of forums to choose from. To evaluate witch forum to choose, take a look at how many members the forum has, and when the last post was submitted. Forum with a lot of members and a lot of activity is the forums you want to join and visit frequently.
Finally I want to give you some faire warnings.
Do not jump on every book or service you see promising you the ultimate solution to your lack of success. This is especially important if you have to pay for it. It is easy to go broke in attempt to find a solution to your problem. It is also easy to get information overload if you read all the available information in the field. Information overload can give you “action paralyze” as a result.
One of the most dangerous myths about affiliate marketing, resulting that people is buying every product in the market with a good sales pitch, is that affiliate marketing is a system where you will become rich over night. You just find a product; put together an ad, and rich you are.
