Ranthambore National Park Tour, Rajasthan
Ranthambore National Park is located in the Sawai Madhopur district in Rajasthan. It was established in 1955 and was recognized as the Project Tiger reserve in 1973. Covering an area of 400 sq km, the Park attracts tourists with its 40 species of mammals, 320 bird species and 35 reptile species. The jeep safari in the jungle will take you to amazing landscapes which in itself is a great enjoyment. Some of the other wildlife spotted here are wild boar, chital, jackal, Indian Hare, sambhar, porcupines, monitor lizard, gazelles, gaur, black buck etc. This only dry deciduous tiger habitat in the world offers great chances of tiger sighting. It can be visited from October to June. It remains closed from July to September due to rainfall. Visit the Park and you will remember your holidays forever. The other two attractions of the Park are : Ranthambore Fort: This majestic fort dates back to the 10th century. The rustic fort is a testimony to the glorious history of Rajasthan. There are three temples inside it namely Shiva temple, Ramlalaji temple and Ganesh temple. Padam Talao: There are several water bodies in the fort but Padam Talao is the largest of all. Located at the corner of this lake is the wonderful Jogi Mahal.
