Reader On The Telephone
On the 6th of November 2009, a live séance with Derek Acorah (TV medium) at the controls, Whether or not you believe in ‘life after death’ or not, you can’t use these things as an example for or against anything in the medium arena! The most famous ‘platform’ mediums like John Edward and his show “Crossing Over”, Sally Morgan who is colossal in the UK, and many more. Before this current era we find ourselves in, there seemed to be more shows about debunking mediums as “Charlatans”, but perhaps today people need something more to believe in! Clairvoyance, of course, is not anything new. People have been using various techniques of divination from roughly 1000 BC. Prediction takes place using many tools by clairvoyants, Mediums, Clairvoyants. Tarot cards, I-Ching, Numerology, Astrology, Psychometry, White Witches, Tea leaves, even the contents of Sheep’s stomachs were used by early Shamen and soothsayers. Houdini (famous escapologist) promised his wife that he would get in touch with her in the event he died first, which was always a likely outcome when considering his day job. Famously she tried to contact him with countless mediums, with disappointing consequences. Elvis (the King) Presley died in 1977, and again in a blaze of exposure on prime time TV in the USA, séances were played out with a medium called Dorothy Sherry, David Stanley, Elvis' half-brother took part to verify the details that emerged. According to the grapevine the reading was quite accurate according to the brother. With all that medium history that has gone before us, we now use the new technology like telephones, world wide web, SMS, satellite and Television to do what we always have done, to try and find the answers we all seek. There are hundreds of web sites offering these services and even more individuals on “Facebook” ready to tell you your future and “heal your life”. Do we want all this? It appears that we do!
