Reality Tv Murder Suspect In Murder Found Dead

Ryan Jenkins, the reality show contestant who was the prime suspect in the murder of his model ex-wife, has been found dead of an apparent suicide in a motel in British Columbia. Jenkins, 32, who was a contestant on the VH1 show “Megan Wants a Millionaire”, became a person of interest on August 15th when his ex-wife’s body was found in a suitcase that had been dumped in a trash bin in Orange County, California. The victim, a 28-year-old swimsuit model, had been strangled.

Her teeth and fingers were removed to make identifying her difficult. She was eventually identified by the serial number on her breast implants. After the murder, police sought Jenkins, who was last seen playing poker with Fiore the night before she was murdered and was also t he one who reported her missing. Sgt. Duncan Pound of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police border integrity unit said that police responded to a call about a dead person found in Hope, and he called investigators searching for Jenkins.

However, Jenkins had disappeared. Fiore and Jenkins, who met at the strip club where she worked, were married in March, but she had the marriage annulled in May. They were married just two days after he was sent home from the show. And now with Jenkins’ apparent suicide, it would appear the case is closed. Jenkins was found hanging from a coat rack in a motel room in an apparent suicide, according to Canadian officials. Staff at a motel in Hope, British Columbia, found Jenkins dead on Sunday. Witnesses said a woman, about 20 to 25 years old, dropped off Jenkins at the motel on Friday in a silver Chrysler PT Cruiser with Alberta tags.

Police have yet to identify this woman. According to court records in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jenkins was charged in June with battery for allegedly striking Fiore in the arm with his fist, and in 2007, Jenkins pleaded guilty in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to assault in a separate case. He was sentenced to 15 months probation, ordered to undergo counseling for domestic violence and sex addiction and to stay away from the person involved, according to court records. VH1 has since cancelled subsequent airings of the show, and claim they were not aware of Jenkins’ private record. It couldn’t have been too hard to dig up this information, so I can only guess they don’t do the background checks as they claim to, or they simply let it slip by. Regardless, with two people dead, it is clear something went horribly wrong here.
