Exercising can help to relieve tension and stress that may be building up during the months of being pregnant. This alone is very beneficial for any woman. It can also reduce the back pain caused from the extra weight and improve your posture. However, there are a few things that you do need to watch out for when exercising during pregnancy. For example, if you feel pain or discomfort in your pelvis area or back you need to stop exercising and call your physician. Always stop when you feel fatigue, dizzy or nausea or if it becomes hard to breath. Avoid any exercise that requires you to twist at the waist, bounce or leap.

Women that were not exercising before they got pregnant may be able to start a light routine under the advice of their physician. If you already had a program going they can help you make it more suitable while you are pregnant. Since the type of exercises you will be allowed to do will depend on your general health, it is important that you keep your physician well informed on how you feel. The most important thing during this time is the health and well-being of both you and your baby so follow the advice of your physician carefully.
