Copacabana A recent French film that made its way to the Cannes this year is an intrinsic comedy film. This film is presents a very common yet very sensitive story. A very simple yet careerist mother has done everything in her life to get success, but all this while she has got quite a lot distanced from her own daughter. Both the films have actually presented a variety and a paradigm shift in every way while have still kept with the tradition of “breathless” alive. Simple plots of real life yet very different and realistic in presentation these films present a kaleidoscope of France. Ambassadors, police, murder etc make these French movies heavily loaded and very outstanding. Romance There is nothing more outrageous in France, compared to romance. There is killing, hatred, yet there prevails love. Portraying love in a very different yet very personal way has been a long practiced tradition in France. This has actually helped to make films and celebrate love internationally. From recent French movies, “Bluebeard “is worth mentioning in this category. A very sweet, melodious film about two sisters who are actually made to read the fairy tale of this name and then the plot bends with them encountering the similar fate as the princess in the story. It is the juxtaposition of the reality and the tale, that is done fabulously in this locale which otherwise would not have been really that splendid. French movies from 50’s onwards have painted a very different yet truly remarkable cinema. These films influenced from other film traditions of the world presented certain different elements to the audience that was and is very much France in all ways possible.
