Recipe For Success When Delivering A Teleseminar - #5 Ingredient
You've found your market, you've chosen your topic, you've prepared an outline - now it's time to actually deliver your first teleseminar.
#5 Ingredient - Just Before the Call
One of the first things you need to do just before your first call is to control your nerves. It's not always easy to launch into a new medium without feeling a little nervous. Take a few deep breathes before you start and make sure you do some of the fundamental things people often forget to do before delivering a teleseminar or teleclass, as they are sometimes referred to:
1. Close any doors or windows to block out the background noise
2. If you have any pets, make sure they are somewhere else. It only takes someone to knock on your door unexpectedly during the call and everyone will hear 'Fido' barking beside you.
3. Make sure you've taken care of any calls of nature before you start, the last thing you want is to feel really uncomfortable as struggle to fight off a 'comfort stop' during a long call.
4. Turn off 'Calling waiting' from your telephone service if you think the beeps will disturb you during your call.
5. Have a glass of water near you, talking for an hour or so can leave your throat really dry.
6. Let everyone in the household know what you are doing and that you'll need their co-operation without interruptions. If you operate from a home/office the last thing you want is for one of the kids to wander in and ask if it's dinner time yet.
The main thing here is to concentrate on delivering a great teleseminar with good, quality information. But beware, but if you forget to do some of the points I've mentioned above you could end up with some problems on your hands.
