Another work-around is an in-place install of Windows operating system. Though this means loss of all the important data and additional software, it puts the computer in order, and solves the forgotten password issue.

Lastly, you may try to use a dedicated password recovery software to access your system and recover your vital data.

But in case the above methods do not work for you, then you may want to reinstall your Windows installation. However, this puts your data and all other applications at risk of loss. It is far easier to recover Windows password using appropriate software.
