1. Contract staffing This type of hiring is done when there is an immediate requirement of a specific area of expertise for a new venture in the client’s firm. There is a contract agreement between the client and the candidate for a certain period of time or until the project is over. The employer / client totally benefits from this type where there is no need to completely induct the candidate into their payroll. It is just like a pay-as-per-use service. The high side here for the contracted candidate is a higher pay comparatively. 2. Contract to hire Contract to hire is similar to staffing as per contract, only that it gives the employer an option to either recruit or not recruit the contracted employee after the contract time. This is a powerful tool wherein the employer can try out an employee for a certain amount of time before employing him permanently in the organization. This type of employment is suitable for higher level management employees whose jobs involve people management. 3. Turnkey recruitment Turnkey recruitment is initialized when there is need for mass recruitment. This may be utilized under specific requirements like when the employer is expanding or when a new vertical is being started or when there is a just a requirement for mass recruits. This is typically applicable for construction companies when they start new projects or ventures. 4. Temporary and Permanent hire This is the most basic type of hiring where the employees hired are either temporary (for the contract period only) or permanent. Although the pay is higher for the temporary employees for which the permanent employees are compensated by job security. For the temporary employees the payroll may either be done at the recruitment agency or at the employer’s firm. Customized processes The whole recruitment process can be further customized as required. For instance for senior level and executive employees, the interviewing process can be completely conducted by the client, which is not the case for leaf level employees. For mass recruitments, the third party agency may prefer to conduct written tests before interviews which is not so for limited cases of recruits.
