Redesigning Your Recliner

The reclining chair is really the relaxing chair in your living room. This is where you can sit back and take a break while you're watching television. Typically the looks of such chairs are black or dark brown and that is really the range that you get with it. I know that you don't want to necessarily change the function of such a chair, but you can definitely change the way it looks. You can change it to any type of design that you want, so that it meshes well with the other furniture you have in the room sitting next to it. I'm going to show you how to do this.

There is one word that you have to know; slipcovers. Essentially this is like a glove for your chair. It is something that you put over top of it. It is like a glove, so it is very tight and fits into every little grove. This means that you'll still end up with the exact shape of the chair, but the design on the outside will be totally different (like a glove). This is how you're going to redesign your slipcovers and get a totally different look that you'll love.

The great thing about slipcovers is that they're incredibly cheap. When you want to clean them all you have to do is take them off and throw them in your washing machine. For their simplicity you might want to put one on your new furniture before you get them dirty, and just wash the slipcover instead.
