One of the biggest problems I see newsletter and ezine publishers having online is that they write about subjects no one in their market is interested in. They just write about whatever they think people want to know about without doing any of the research, which is a huge no no. Another problem is, publishers who have a market well defined do not then write the content in their newsletters that interests their readers. There is no use having an ezine on coin collecting and running articles on stamp collecting just because you couldn't be bothered finding the right content for your ezine. This is absolutely a turn off to your subscribers as they are looking for the relevant content that they assume you will be providing as your opt-in page says so. Therefore, if you did not provide them with the content they want, very soon you will find yourself holding onto a list full of unprofitable contacts and emails. This is easily overcome. Just send out an email asking your readers what they want to read. Also sign up for other ezines in your market and see what they are writing about. After that, one quick content generation method is just to consolidate all those relevant articles that you gotten through those other ezines and put them up into your ezine. Presto! You will have a ezine full of relevant content which will keep your subscribers staying on as loyal subscribers to read what you will be going to provide for them. With time, your subscribers will be happy to forward and pass along your ezine to their friends and thus you can build your list with ease at no cost.
