All three are different forms of houses that are usually used as vacation houses by their owners when they have time to go on one. Most of the time, wealthy owners may not even have the time to spare to have a look see, which is why these houses are up for rent and listed with travel agencies. Some of these houses are specifically made to be rented out. These may belong to one owner or several owners who bought the houses from a developer who still has the right to implement rules and regulations on the area. Attached Units Attached units are those that come in an individual fixed space that is located in a single building. Condos, townhouses and apartments fall under this category. In most cases, the unit is owned by an individual who has the right to rent it out to vacationers. These units are usually smaller compared to houses and are ideal for couples. In spite being ideal for couples, some units can also accommodate more than five people even up to ten depending on the agreement of the owner with the travel agency. Rentals like these are usually located in areas that have many people or have stores and other business establishments in the vicinity. The owner needs permission from the building supervisor or maintenance to rent out the unit and there may be a set of rules that apply to each unit. Townhouses and apartments are usually bigger in area size compared to a condominium. Some condos may also be bigger but they are usually smaller compared to the other two. Rentals, whether they be houses or attached units, are sometimes more convenient than hotel rooms. The cost may be lower, especially for large groups who will split the cost of the place according to their number. The fact that these are abodes which are used as houses also means that they come with a functional kitchen and other amenities. The kitchen is sometimes one of the more important aspects of renting a place instead of getting a hotel room. Buying one's own food to cook can cut the cost of the vacation dramatically. Depending on room service in hotels can be costly and so with dining out at restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Rentals are a great alternative to booking at hotels which can be costlier.
