Republican Joe Wilson Will Not Apologize Snubs Congress
But why should Joe Wilson apologize. He was only pointing out to us that Obama had just said something that wasn’t true? I like the idea of instant editing. Why wait till after the falsehood is spoken, jump right on it before Obama gets away with it. Hell if I were Joe Wilson I would have taken my shoe off and threw it at his head while screaming you filthy lying dog.
That is what it will come to if Wilson isn’t dealt with by House leadership. Got to nip this kind of behavior in the bud now so others will refrain from publicizing themselves by heckling our presidents in front of the entire nation.
Seems Joe Wilson wants his casual apology to be the end of this, but his action was too outrageous and he will now have to face the music. It’s not his call as to what kind of apology is appropriate; House rules will make the determination. So congressmen Wilson you, you can proceed with dignity or disgrace.
You chose the latter. You had to. You have become a right wing hero. You can turn your back on your government but not your largest group of supports and contributors. You’re a right wing lunatic crowd pleaser, but if that is your road to stardom so be it. You have been adopted by the conservative fringe, but at least that’s something. You have a lot of new friends now.
So you will now make an issue out of yourself, gain more fame and fortune and encourage your colleagues to give it a try. If you’re a nondescript lawmaker on the road to nowhere you can breakout by making a fool of yourself and the Republican Party.
Things are heating up on the political battlefield. Pull up a seat and watch this drama escalate into a very bitter red state blue state slugfest. A no rules cage match where the loser comes out on a stretcher. If you like political blood sport it’s not going to get any better than this.
