Reviewing Three Programs For Burning Away Fat

The new trend in weight loss is fat burning. There has been a proliferation of programs designed to help would-be dieters burn fat fast. This reporter recently investigated three of the most popular of these health and fitness systems.

Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle is the name of a fat losing information package developed and promoted by Mr. Tom Venuto. A body builder, nutritionist, personal trainer and coach, Mr. Venuto claims to be able to offer information about fat loss that is unavailable elsewhere. Without resorting to drugs or supplements that play havoc with the human metabolism, his system for losing body fat is based on nutrition secrets that have, for years, been closely guarded by competitive bodybuilders and fitness models. Mr. Venuto describes himself as a natural bodybuilder because he shuns the use of steroids and other similar illegal or banned drugs that some people use to enhance their physiques. Although 95% of all diets fail, he says the system he developed will enable its users to lose body fat permanently.

A similar yet very different approach to fat loss and fitness is the plan created by Rob Poulos, a fitness expert who says he lost 42 pounds and ten inches off his waist in minutes per week. Called fat burning Furnace, the program Mr. Poulos promotes is based on eating less by fooling the body into eating less with specific foods that cancel out hunger pangs. Combining a food plan with specific exercise regimens, the method involves 15 to 26 minutes of exercise, two to three times per week. Unlike other programs, however, there is no use of cardio or aerobics exercises. Nor is there any calorie counting or measuring foods. According to his promotional material, people who follow the program average 26 pounds of fat loss in 49 days. The system is said to enable the body to tap into its own, natural ability to burn away layers of fat.

A third fat burning book goes by the potentially insulting title of fat loss 4 Idiots. Although this name may give the impression it presents information in a simplistic manner, that is not the case. On the contrary, the arguments presented are rational and logical. A compelling collection of facts are given about why low fat and low carb diets are ineffective. For example, despite the fact that an increasing variety of low fat foods are being purchased, the population is nevertheless becoming fatter. Regarding diets with reduced carbohydrate levels, this program's promoters state that these diets leave participants feeling miserable. The solution provided is to change the pattern of eating as well as the content. What is necessary is to consume the correct meals in the correct patterns on a daily basis.

No matter which dietary plan an individual decides to follow for the purpose of getting rid of excess fat, it is not recommended to believe everything one reads and trust that promotional materials and advertising are presenting the unvarnished truth. Ultimately a reader wanting to become slimmer must apply common sense as well as following prudent practices for remaining in good health.
