Don’t finalise your Blackpool and surrounding area touring holidays until you’ve read our reviews of campsites at Marton Mere. The top entries are all right here.

Marton Mere Touring Park has ample space for touring caravans: its 84 pitches put it comfortably in the higher leagues and its new development of shower blocks and washroom facilities doesn’t hurt either. The campsite includes super sized and European standard pitches, and employs a team of site wardens to ensure that your nights are peaceful.

The showers are kept in excellent nick, thanks to hourly visits and regular cleaning. No real problems with hot water supply either, even at busy times.

Having tried a few campsites at Marton Mere we’re extremely satisfied with the Marton Mere Touring Park.If you want your touring holidays to be taken care of in style then you can’t really go wrong. You’ve got entertainment on tap (every night we were there you could see a band or something similar in the site clubhouse); and enough daytime activities to keep the whole family staying put.

Dogs are welcome, too, which helps – as does the covered washing up area. Nothing like not having the soap suds blow up in your face the whole time you’re trying to clean the dishes!

If you want real peace and quiet, then there are probably other campsites at Marton Mere that are more your cup of tea – though why you would be coming this close to Blackpool if you wanted a quiet time is anyone’s guess! If, on the other hand, you like your touring holidays with a bit of true blue British seaside resort pizzazz – well, then the Marton Mere Touring Park is right up your street.
