In this case the way to cope is also the cure. Your symptoms are probably a result of hearing loss in the range of 100 to 4000 Hz. All you might need is a hearing aid to boast these low frequency sounds and presto no more tinging in the ear! The hearing aid is of no use to people with hearing loss at higher frequencies. It can actually make things worse. What do you do to cope? Often listening to soothing sound will help lessen the T. Other possibilities are white noise generators. It is of utmost importance to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Good overall health reduces symptoms. Eat a well-balanced diet. Try to cut out caffeine and smoking. And always get regular exercise.
