Rocket Chinese - How To Find A Chinese Language Buddy

There are several key helping techniques you can use to speed up your learning of Chinese.. The first most important one is Rocket Chinese, and the next is to acquire a language buddy.

Specifically, you want a language buddy placed in China who is mad-keen on communicating with a Western friend and exchanging the Chinese language help that you need with the English help they need. If you were asking yourself the question "How can I learn Chinese" faster, then here's the winning plan.

How to find yourself a Chinese-speaking language friend? Easy, just head to Skype and do a search. In the Skype "Contacts" menu, choose "search for Skype users" In the find box, type "English", choose China in the country dropdown, and in my particular case I also choose "female" as I've found that a female is more reliable and hard-working in general. Choose university age as that will pick up many students wanting to improve their English. Now click "Find". Work through the results until you find a couple of likely types who are online and put a proposition to them about exchanging talk time, English for Chinese in equal quantities, once to twice a week.

Keep working at it until you discover the right person and then at the pre-arranged times, take the practical Chinese you've learnt through your Rocket Chinese program and use it here : bend it, break it, play with it.. keep going until you start getting a feel for the words and pronunciation.

I can't recommend this approach enough, and who knows, your Chinese language buddy might just be the start of a life-long friendship.
