Rocket To The Top With Promotional Items In July

American retailers know that you’ve got to take advantage of the 4th of July, but even if you’ve got a different type of business you need to get those promotions planned out early! In the United Sates, Independence Day is about as close as you can get to a summer equivalent of Christmas in winter; doing at least something to try to capitalize is a wise course of action for any business.

It really doesn’t make a lot of sense for most businesses to ignore this holiday, even if they’re not a retail biz. It would be like going through the winter while ignoring the New Year or gift giving themes. The good old Star Spangled Banner is everywhere you look during the 4th and there’s hundreds of promotional items out there specifically for the big day. All of the bases are covered, too, allowing you to take your pick of all kinds of items to allow you to find something appropriate for your specific business. Get some air fresheners shaped like American flags, visors with the red white and blue, and so on. The US flag isn’t the only American icon featured during Independence Day; we can’t forget Lady Liberty standing proud down on Liberty Island in New York. You’ll even find some beach balls with the star spangled banner on it.

Those beach balls and other outdoor products are absolutely a direction you need to at least consider for the 4th. A good portion of the crowd heading to the local fireworks show will be dragging lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the show; items have plenty of room on them for company logos. Some even go the extra step and take a cooler along, turning the experience into a picnic of sorts. Those coolers could have your company logo on them. Don’t forget special glasses and fans you can take advantage of which has special lenses to look through to make the fireworks look even more spectacular.

You don’t need to only focus on the big day though; when the 4th comes and goes, then what? The entire summer season is an outdoor affair, and you might have noticed that a lot of those summer promotional items mentioned would fit with just about any outdoor gathering. Coolers and lawn chairs are great for any picnic, be it a company picnic for employees or some kind of picnic catering to clients and customers. There are, of course, backpacks and kits that contain everything you’d need for an outdoor meal so you don’t need to purchase them separately. Items like lanterns, flashlights, water jugs, and lighters are great for targeting the campers among us.

Clothing is a pretty versatile promotional item in addition to everything else, one that can also be utilized for Independence Day. Visors and baseball caps are good for dealing with the sun and improved even more with a pair of sunglasses into the mix you can have a 4th of July combo promotion. Light jackets or fleece would be appropriate for those areas of the nation that get cool at night even when they’re seeing record-setting heat waves during the day.

Take a good look at what your competition is doing, or what is happening in other industries. There’s no real shortage of examples you can find just taking a look around you, but also make an effort to stick out from the crowd. There are a lot of great promotional items out there for this holiday, but unless you take the time to analyze what promotions work for your brand and the recipient, your promotional items might just end up as “just another piece of junk” instead of something truly exciting. Find a promotion you can get excited about, and you’ll be able to get your customers excited about it!
