Rosacea Skin Care Products - Rosacea Help

One of my very best friends suffers from Rosacea. I've done a lot of research for products that can help her and others with this condition. First, it's important to know what Rosacea is. Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin condition characterized by red skin, visible blood vessels, bumps, pimples or irritated eyes. Over 14 million Americans suffer with this condition.

Anyone can develop Rosacea, but it is mostly found in people over 30 with fair skin. Some symptoms are:

Watery or swollen eyes
Redness in the center of the face
Swollen or thicken facial skin that is dry, tight, or itchy
A sensation of burning or stinging

If you are one of the millions that suffer from this, or you know someone who does, there are things you can do to help. There are some common triggers to be aware of, and those are:

Sun and indoor heat, as well as extreme cold, wind and humidity
Stress
Hot beverages
Alcoholic beverages

The following foods may contribute:

Cheese, Chocolate (I know, that one sucks), Vinegar, Yogurt, Beans, Spicy Foods, Citrus Fruits, Tomatoes, Bananas, Raisins, Soy Sauce, Liver (that's an easy one to avoid, right?), Eggplant, Avocados, Spinach, Sour Cream, Yeast Extract, Peas, Navy Beans, Fermented Foods, Processed Foods, Canned Foods.

So take notice when you consume one or more of these foods and see if it may be a trigger for you. There is no cure for Rosacea, only treatments to manage it.

DDF Redness Relief has had wonderful reviews from Roseasa sufferers. Since I do not have Rosacea I cannot give you personal experience with this product, but the reviews are amazing. It claims to reduce the redness and strengthen the skin at the same time resulting in both relief and a better appearance of the skin. It contains Horse Chestnut Extract which strengthens and supports and Barley Extract which will help to clarify and reduce redness. It should be used at least twice a week.

I hope this helps those of you who wrote to me this weekend with concerns about your rosacea. If any of you try this product please let me know how it works for you. You can find it at SkinCareRx at the top of the page.
