Rosetta Spanish Review
What sets Rosetta apart from the other tools available in the market is it tries to associate words with images rather than trying to link two words of different languages. For example, if the Spanish word shown is “leche”, one would not know what it meant, but when the word is accompanied with an image of a milk carton, it would be quite easy to make out that it means “milk”. This is exactly how a baby learns how to talk. The brain registers the image and the corresponding word that the ears catch and then stamps it in memory. Now what this quality does is, it makes it easy for a non-English speaker to be able to use the software. That is itself is a big plus for Rosetta. On the other hand, it’s also necessary to talk about the downside of this software. The software does not support external audio devices like mp3 players or iPods which would have made things easier for the learner as he could practice his Spanish on the move. The price tag of $224.10 is way steep for software, where just one module costs as much as all modules of rival software like Rocket or Fluenz. All in all, it is a great software which helps one retain a lot in the brain but only if one can afford it.
